Bluebird Family, Hummingbird and Redwing Blackbird

All spring we have been monitoring our bluebird box and we are pleased to report that the bluebird couple have hatched three chicks. The chicks have fledged and papa bluebird is super busy catching insects and worms for the wee guys. The family spend most of their time in our spruce trees and on the weathervane on top of the barn.

On my walk this morning, I passed by a wetland area and a male redwing blackbird started to scold me. I guess I was a bit too close to his nest. I was able to snap this closeup!

While waiting to snap photos of the bluebirds, a hummingbird came to the feeder for a drink. What a beauty!

very nice...I have been very lazy about taking pictures lately but do want to get some of the hummers.
We haven't noticed many bluebirds, but lots of swallows.
Glad you and Pat are diligent about posts.
