photos were taken from a rented 'pedelo', like the one seen at the left of the last photo.
apparently, it was the only nice weekend in amsterdam that summer. lucky!
the conversation during the taking of the last photo went something like this:
Pedel Boat: Making a left hand turn onto the main canal
Dan: "Oh, there's that tower, take a picture!"
Andrea: "Which tower?"
Dan: "That big one!"
Andrea: "Ok, just get out of the way of that boat."
Dan: "Which boat?"
Big Brown Boat: "awooOOOOgah!"

Thanks for the great comments Dan. I can just hear that big horn on the boat! And I can just imagine what the driver is thinking.....d___ tourists!!!
