Boating Anyone?

Bob's newly completed woodworking project was to make a boat bookcase. We have seen these at the Langford Canoe gift shop and at other crafty type stores. This one is made from oak with black walnut trim. It is a wedding gift for Sharon and Terry's son Michael and his fiance Niki. Isn't it just gorgeous?

I should also say that Bob made this bookcase using no plans, other than his own sketches.
What a beauty!

What a guy!
Michelle has a small one but not as well made, I'm sure.
I had the brilliant idea that we should build driftwood furniture-particularly a chair to hold a basket of flowers and a bench by the fish pond-so we collected this afternoon. Lots of free wood around, surprisingly the best is on the lakes. Only huge logs on the ocean.

you know, you are giving me all sorts of ideas for Bruce who will have some "spare" time shortly!
I've seen the little ones to hang on the wall, but that's a beaut.
Again I ask...what's next?
