Ok Susan, here's one for you!

Yesterday Bob spotted this tiny, tiny (2 cms or so) frog(?) resting on the bud of a hosta. THe closest I can come to in identifying it is maybe the spring peeper but it seems to be lacking the X on the back. Any ideas?

It takes good eyes to spot a frog that tiny!

that frog is about the same size as the snail that Carly found at Inland Lake after our 14 km bike ride. The girls counted over 100 slugs, lots of snails and snakes and a couple frogs. Last year the place was alive with frogs, but an infestation of bullheads out here is wiping out native species. Presumably brought in to make gourmet frog's legs, some escaped....

actually I should have called them bullfrogs-bullheads are certainly here, but are a species of catfish-lookes like a huge guppie
