Canisbay in Algonquin Park, Sept 2008

We camped at Canisbay from Sept 22-Sept 30, 2008. The weather was gorgeous, warm and sunny through the day and cool, bug free evenings to enjoy the campfires. The leaves were absolutely breathtaking, lots of reds and oranges. We saw little wildlife, although there was a roaming bear and a bull, cow and calf moose that wandered through the campground but never where we were! Bob and I did see a family of five otters while we were canoeing Source Lake. They snorted at us and dove out of harm's way. There were loons as well and we did see lots of juveniles.

Beautiful...I am so envious. Whatever trees were changed here were yellow, but the wind and rain have pretty well knocked them off.
Had a bit of snow today mixed with rain. No Indian summer here.

You Ontarians have us BC-ers all beat in the maple colour department.
We have a some red maples, and some red oaks, but mostly yellow.
The rain has arrived in buckets but we leave for Alberta on Monday so maybe we'll miss a bit of it.
