Ella October 24, 2008
We just returned from a weekend in Barrie. Mark and Bob were finishing off the basement project with baseboards, hanging doors and wainscoting the bathroom. Here is a video of Ella at mealtime. She really enjoys her solid food and Margot has no trouble getting her to eat. What a sweetheart!
Thanksgiving weekend this year was on Oct 13th and we had our celebrations on Sunday Oct 12th. The weather was absolutely superb - mid-20s and sunny. We spent a lot of time outside. We had the fountain running and I managed to click this picture of Joshua in the flower patch in his stocking feet!
Here Joshua and Chloe are doing the polka!!
Of course no family gathering would be complete without a scrabble game or two!
A recession-style centerpiece - leaves from the yard and apples from the fruit bowl!!
We camped at Canisbay from Sept 22-Sept 30, 2008. The weather was gorgeous, warm and sunny through the day and cool, bug free evenings to enjoy the campfires. The leaves were absolutely breathtaking, lots of reds and oranges. We saw little wildlife, although there was a roaming bear and a bull, cow and calf moose that wandered through the campground but never where we were! Bob and I did see a family of five otters while we were canoeing Source Lake. They snorted at us and dove out of harm's way. There were loons as well and we did see lots of juveniles.
