Joshua Is 5 Weeks Old

Joshua is practising his smiling but the trick is to be able to catch it on film! I tried and tried last weekend when he and his mom and dad once again spent the weekend in Puslinch. Several times I would be holding him and doing something other than looking at him, and when I would look down at him, he would be smiling away at me! So cute!

Grampa loves to hold him and Joshua found him quite funny!

Here Grandpa is trying to solve The New York Crossord Puzzle but Joshua is plain bored!

I hope you enjoyed seeing these pictures of Joshua!!

Social Time at Puppy Classes

The following pictures wiill give you some idea at the antics that go on at social time. I'm sorry that most of these are not without blurry segments but that is proof that these dogs play beyond the speed of a mere shutter.

And They're Off! Chloe is the Yellow Blur!

Chloe is 16 weeks Old

Since Joshua has arrived, Chloe has had to take a back seat regarding new updates on our blogs. But Ken and Pat have complained that they wanted to see Chloe and besides, she is almost as cute as Joshua...So here is the latest.
Chloe has started puppy school! There are 5 puppies in the class - a schitzo brown lab puppy that is about twice as big as Chloe and 3 other Lapso Apso type puppies. During the hour class, there is a time for the puppies to socialize. The first night everyone let their puppies off lead, Chloe ventured out into the centre of the room. Then Ruby, the brown lab took one bound toward her. Chloe dove for the refuge under our chairs and stayed there! Later she couldn't resist visiting the young boy (one of Ruby's family). All was fine until Ruby spotted her. Then she scurried behind a row of chairs and hide there. It was not a good sign of things to come. As far as the actual work on lead, Chloe did splendidly. We were all sent home to practise the evening lessons.
The next week, the leader chose Chloe to show again last week's lessons. She did everything perfectly. We were as proud as punch! Then it was time for social time...
Chloe ventured towards the little puppies, only to be intercepted by guess who...Ruby! But instead of running, Chloe flipped on her back and lay motionless. Ruby sniffed her all over until Chloe jumped up and said "Enough of that." The chase was on, with Ruby in hot pursuit! Once again, Chloe hit the deck! But after that time, it was like a different Chloe had been born. She jumped up and proceeded to chase Ruby about the room! It was sheer bedlam! Everyone was quite amused and the instructor was happy to see Chloe finally stand up for herself.
We will see what happens tonight!
Around the house, Chloe is getting better and better. She is (we think) fully house-trained now and loves her crate. We took her camping and she was quite happy to stay in the camper in her crate while we went biking. She loves the camper!

Joshua 24 Days Old

On Labour Day weekend Sunday, we decided to take a trek up to Barrie to visit with the kids. Bob had made a set of temporary steps for the sliding door and wanted to get those on while I just plain wanted to see Joshua again, along with his mom and dad.
Here are some pictures that I took while there.

Mark was holding Joshua and making faces at him.

There has to be a burp in there somewhere!

Maybe the other end Mom!

Just give me my soother and hold me, Dad! Ahhh!
